Welcome to Tennis Saves
Tennis Saves is dedicated to bringing tennis enthusiasts together to create awareness and raise funds for worthy causes. Through our shared love for the sport, we can effect change in our community and benefit those less fortunate than ourselves. In 2009, I lost my father to Gastrointestinal Esophageal (GE) Cancer. After four years of wonderful donations at the NYC GE Cancer Charity, and thanks to the support of several sponsors, staff, friends, and family, Tennis Saves helped raise over $36,000! At the last event alone, Tennis Saves raised just over $11,000 towards the Dana-Farber GE Cancer Department.
Now Tennis Saves is taking a new approach and reviving the Rochester Junior Tennis Grand Prix that many tennis enthusiasts in our community grew up playing. Since 1990, the commonly known Grand Prix has been an outlet for our young tennis community. It was an important event that brought local clubs, parks, schools, and universities together for a common goal - providing juniors with opportunities to develop their tournament play for a very low registration fee. The Grand Prix's purpose was always to provide affordable tennis tournaments to the Rochester tennis community. Tennis Saves is proud to bring back this great tradition to benefit our next generation of aspiring players.
